Who liked or disliked Breaking Dawn? I love the Twilight saga, but I just can't stand the fourth and last installment ( Breaking Dawn). I feel its rushed and watered down. When exciting things happened, it was suddenly over. It just felt rushed, and I couldn't get into it. I know that TONS of people loved this book and defend this saga to the death, trust me I'm one of them. But Breaking Dawn was a severe let down.

Let's just say that it wasn't my favorite book out of the saga however I can understand why it wasn't done so well. There was a lot of pressure and everyone was expecting it to come out better than the first 3. It was her first series and it must have been hard for her to end it. Personally, I feel that the series could have been longer but it wasn't. Now we can only hope that the movies that will come out are better!

I agree that Breaking Dawn was a bit of a disappointment, it was rushed and, I probably said this before but I think she did it because she needed to, not because she felt inspired to write it. All the publicity may have gotten to her. There was so much build up in the book and then a total let down at the end.

I disagree. I felt that Breaking Dawn was a very good ending to the series. Honestly, Eclipse was more of a disappointment to me. That whole book seemed very lackluster. Like it didn't really further the plot, it was just there as a segue into the last book. Breaking Dawn had several surprising parts that really made the book worthwhile, including Jacob's point of view, which was a refreshing break from Bella's gooey happiness with Edward (though I suppose she wasn't all that happy at that point in the book). I especially liked Jacob's chapter titles. Bella's were all one or two worded: First Sight, Confessions, etc. Whereas, Jacob's really added something to the chapter, for example, my favorite: "Sure As Hell Didn't See That One Coming". I was only disappointed that we didn't really get to know Renesmee and I was really hoping that the fight with the Volturi (whether it occurred physically or mentally) would have ended with a little more excitement.

The fact that the Voluturi are going to want to pick them off one by one and sometime in the future they will have to fight, made me a little restless.

I just wish she didn't end the series there! I think she could have kept going so that we could get to know Renesmee and find out what really happens with the Volturi.

Well, at least it wasn't like Harry Potter where the author was killing off characters like there was a plague going on. She killed about half the cast and, in my opinion, there was no point to it other than trying to get across that the evil dude was really scary. So, even if I was a little let down with the ending myself, I like it a heck of a lot more than Harry Potter's ending. (My apologies to those of you who hate the Twilight/Harry Potter crossover.)

Duing the final fight, Lupin and Tonks both died, but other than that it's been too long to remember anyone else.
