But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. -Genesis 2:17
How does this quote relate to Twilight and the relationships that are formed in it?

It's supposed to be the whole forbidden fruit thing. Temptation. Here is this person that threatens all of Edward's closest held beliefs--that it is wrong to murder people, even if that is cohesive to what you are; that no matter how strong the temptation, it can be resisted. And if Edward eats of the forbidden fruit--Bella--a part of him will die, the part that so idolizes Carlisle and his choices and wishes to be like him; everything he had worked towards would die in one fell swoop. There can also be an argument that Bella is the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil because on the one hand, she can offer him the evil of killing her and living with himself after that act, and she can offer him the good of acceptance, of a lasting and enduring relationship that might well redeem him.

That's really really deep. I couldn't think of a better explanation than that.

Thank you once more! ;D I should hope I have a good viewpoint when it comes to this series, as I've spent almost four years being a fangirl to it. Though I never went around all "I luv edward cuz hes hawt". This series seems to bring out the stupid in a lot of people.

Huh? What does that mean? Or am I totally missing out on something I should know?
