The Devouring I just finished this book.It was a quick read. I thought it was a great and an unique story. I liked the concept of Vours coming in and taking over because of your fear. I thought it was a little creepy at times.I loved how she fought for her brother and Aaron stood by her without question. The fearscape where Reggie goes in to find Henry was the best part of the book. I would have liked to have seen a little bit more of Quinn in the beginning. And I was hoping we'd learned exactly what happened to Macie,is she dead? And I wish we were told how Eben figures into the story,he just showed up at the end without an explanation as to now he knew. And is the Vour she ate going to be a part of her. A few unanswered questions that hopefully will be addressed in book 2. I kept thinking throughout the book that the Mom was taken over by a Vour. Looking forward to reading book 2

I didn't know there was going to be a second book, that's news. I totally agree with you blinky I liked the concept of the book and the Vour coming on one night Sorry Night. And the whole fearscape having to live in your nightmare, scary. 'When dark creeps in and eats the light, Bury your fears on Sorry Night. For in the winter’s blackest hours Comes the feasting of the Vours. No one can see it, the life they stole, Your body’s here but not your soul. . . .'
