Vilmarys I felt the same way about Uber. I was a little upset that we didn't know if it was going to be a HEA or not too, but Lise said she might write a sequel. I think that would be great. I did like how it ened with a possibility. Lyn admits she likes him, and she is willing to go to dinner with him, and Uber and Thad get along so well and she TRUSTS Uber with Thad, and Mark might have a girl friend. I like that although there are loose ends, there is still that possibility. if there is a sequel I'd definitely pick it up. I do hope there is a sequel because I would like to know what happens....I need closure, lol

I sadly did not like this book:( I did like Lynn She picked up the pieces of her life and took care of what she needed too after she mother killed herself. Strong, independent, young woman. I would have liked to known more about Uber, he seemed like really good guy. And I liked at the end when Tad and Uber are at the water and Lyn is on the phone with them. Trust, I was glad to see that in this book. And that Lyn said she would go to dinner with Uber. I did not like the style this book was written in. I started this book 3 times. and took almost a week for me to read, But I know that I can not love them all. on our rating scale I give it 2 books Deana

So I decided to sit down yesterday and start over. I took the day and read the whole book. I too didn't like the writing style of it. the -'s instead of quotes drove me nuts. I did like some of the characters..Lyn is a strong young lady and had to deal with a lot for her age.Loved Uber.Never pushed her,but was there for her. Mark I didn't get,he wanted her but at the same time I felt that he didn't really care either way..he seemed distant.Maybe we'll get a book from his POV.I do think Lyn and Uber would end up together.Thad made the book for me. As for Tommy and Allison...I felt bad when Tommy died and how hard his death was on the family..but then when Lyn thought back to the holiday in Rome and finds out he's a cheater, that did it for me...hated him..I think there was no need for that in the story. It really did nothing but piss the reader off(well this reader anyway) There were a few things in the book that really didn't need to be in there..example when shes on the subway and she sees the tagger and we get a history lesson on them..didnt care for that, wasted time in the book. Allison...one word..weak..for a glad wife you'd think she'd be stronger.
Hated the Living Machine stuff..until the end when they devise the plan. I thought the end was rushed..she was what in the arena for 5 minutes,I would have liked to see her fight more.
If there is a sequel I would read it.I'd like to know what happened to them all.

Blinky~ the -'s instead of quotes drove me nuts too for the first chapter or so, but then I got into the flow of it, and didn't miss the quotes at all. as for Mark I think Mark loves her, but in more of a bestfriend/sister way than anything else. That was the vibe I got off of that relationship. And he was willing to do anything to help her. As for Allison Yes, she is weak, but after hearing her history, where she didnt' even know that her first Husband was in the GSA, and was taken by surprise, I see that she was weak from the begining. She would do anything to NOT be alone. And that is what she did, she ended up marrying 7 men and looking back on it I'm not sure she was "in love" with any of them, she just didnt' want to be alone. Unfortunatly there are a lot of women in the world like that today. as far as Tommy Yes, he cheated, BUT the way it is portrayed Allison knew about it, and was okay with it. They just didn't expect that the kids would find out. It was a marriage of convience, and they both knew that. So I think that she gave Tommy the okay to sleep/have sex with other people. That was how I understood it. But when he saw what it did to Lyn he decided to NOT do it anymore. Is it really cheating if your spouse says go for it, adn basically pushes the other person into your bed? That was my take on it. I liked the history lesson abuot the Taggers. But that is just me. Completly agree on the Living machine, but I can see someone inventing it and it being a great seller when it does come on the market. As far as the end Yes, she was only in the arena for about 5 minutes, but how long does it take to get a raging mob when a fight is not going the way they like aka, no blood shed? Then the lights went off, so the crowd was already getting riled, so the GSA did what the GSA does best, they upped the stakes, they sent Thad out into the arena in order to get rating to go up. She struk, and that ended it. IF they wouldn't have sent Thad out, then there would have been more fighting between Uber and Lyn. So I blame the GSA for doing what any self respecting comercial industry would do, they pulled a Hail Mary, and it paid off. anyway those were my takes on it, adn how I felt.

I finished this one last monday, but have been too busy to post. I really enjoyed it and I know there's some mixed feelings about it. THe only thing that could've made it better was more fighting to be honest.

WOW! I did have a little slow start with the book. I really got in to it after Tommy's death I had so many mixed feelings with this book. I went thru so many emotions... I cried, I laughed, I was angry, excited and more. I was upset when Tommy died. I was angry when Lyn found Tommy cheating on her mother. After that I could not see Tommy in the same way. He lost it for me... Then I was so mad at Allison. She loved her kids, but I think that she sucked as a parent. Then you have Mark, who love's Lyn in a we are friends but can be more way. His parent's were great! They were very supportive to Lyn in her times of need. (More than her mother who was selfish and committed suicide.) I have mixed feelings about Uber. I try very hard to like him and I almost do, or do a little. But I can't get over the fact that he killed Tommy. He could have wounded him severely and won the fight, but he killed him and that is hard for me to swallow. I think it would be kind of sick is Lyn does end up with him. When LeRoy showed Lyn, Tommy's body and told her what Caesar's intentions were with the body I was in shock. This book had many shocking moments for me and I like that in a book. I am not sure if there will be a second book, but if there is I will definitely buy it and read it. Overall I really liked this book, and after I was really in to it it was really hard to put down. I give this 4 out of 5 stars! (Rating: 4 Books)

I do feel he was truly sorry that it did happen. I also thing that there was something wrong with Tommy, Lyn felt he had been off. I know he had too, but he should not have faught that fight. Ivy, I do agree with you about marks parents They were the bomb, they loved her, and I think they did more for Lyn , in a short time than her own mother did In ways I wish i could have liked the book more !!!
