Has anyone read Meridian? It came out this past August and it sounds good. The description is below:
Half-human, half-angel, Meridian Sozu has a dark responsibility.
Sixteen-year-old Meridian has been surrounded by death ever since she can remember. As a child, insects, mice, and salamanders would burrow into her bedclothes and die. At her elementary school, she was blamed for a classmate’s tragic accident. And on her sixteenth birthday, a car crashes in front of her family home—and Meridian’s body explodes in pain.
Before she can fully recover, Meridian is told that she’s a danger to her family and hustled off to her great-aunt’s house in Revelation, Colorado. It’s there that she learns that she is a Fenestra—the half-angel, half-human link between the living and the dead. But Meridian and her sworn protector and love, Tens, face great danger from the Aternocti, a band of dark forces who capture vulnerable souls on the brink of death and cause chaos.

Has anyone read Meridian? It came out this past August and it sounds good. The description is below: I have now! ;D I liked it, it took me a little to get into it and figure everything out, but I really liked it. I can't believe her mother didn't tell her anything! I mean if it was my daughter, I'd have told her everything that morning, and then sent her off to her aunts, NOT to school. Ya know what I mean? I also liked the idea that certain people were the "light" that everyone hears about. And that it isn't just some tunnel that you have to travel alone. I also loved the code. 1-4-3 . I now sign all my notes/letters to my hubby that way. AND he caught it right off. LOL Does anyone know if there will be a sequel?

And there will be a sequel, she is working on it right now! I could not believe that her mother didn't tell her when she first realized that Meridian was feeling off about the whole death thing either. I don't think I would have waited so long. I also liked the idea about someone being there with you while you transitioned. I almost had a heart attack when I thought Tens was going to die and I thought something was up with Josiah in the beginning. I am looking forward to the sequel. Cant wait ;D

I just finished this book. And I was pleasantly surprised.I really liked it.I didn't have trouble getting into the story at all.Started it Friday night and finished about an hour ago.I thought it was well paced too.The preachy stuff I could have done without but it went with the story. I have to say I loved Tens I understand why the mother didn't tell her,she was only trying to protect her the best way she knew how, although it hindered Meridian in the worst way..I like how the people she met along the way on her journey to her aunts are the ones that helped her in the end. What I didn't get is why Josiah didn't take the reverand down sooner.he obviously knew who he was so why didn't he help Auntie.BTW hate the word Auntie I am looking forward to the sequel..I'm glad to hear there will be one.I think there are a lot more adventures and unanswered questions for Meridian and Tens.

Just finished, I really liked this book. She said on her site in 2011 is when the sequel whencome out I didn't like all the preachy stuff, i had to re-read it a couple times to get some of it. I think her Mom waited to tell her or didnt want to tell her so she could have or try to have a normal life, which didnt really work. As for Josiah waiting to take down Perimo, I think he was seeing if Meridian would be able to handle it, help souls cross with out getting tangled. I also think he knew it was time for Auntie to cross. And to see if she would chose light over darkness when Perimo asked if she would join him.

OMG!! I loved this book. I was suprised. Meridian was a good pace and kept you into the book. Trust, Love and Faith in yourself are major keys in this book. I do wish that Meridian's parents prepared her for what her life ws to intail. And it was very sad that she had to leave her family. Auntie(I have that word too) was a great woman. I wish that Meridianhad a little more time with her. I loved Tens. A good man. I couold have done with out the preachiness but it do go aloong with the book. I like that the cabbie Josiah was a worrior and the doc and her mom came to help in the end.
I will read the next book.

I loved this book. I also wanted a lot more info on Tens. I wished she could have had more time with her Aunt.
