Robert Jordan is the prolific author of the Wheel of Time series which is classic high fantasy (new world, dragons, quests). Unfortunately, Jordan died near the end of his series and it will be up to the very talented Brandon Sanderson to finish with Jordan/s notes. If you'd like to read or re-read the series, I'm hosting a WoT challenge at BLA: www.bookloveaffair.com/2009/10/wheel-of-time-challenge-2010.html

I adore him! I love the books. I am waiting for book 12 at the moment. I do hear it might not be as good but I do not care

Bah! Brandon Sanderson is the reason I'm reading WoT. He's an excellent writer. There are just going to be people who aren't happy with anyone taking over for Robert Jordan, in my opinion. Unfortunately, he's not around to finish and they have to accept that. >/

I am just glad Jordan loved his work to draft out everything, and I am glad they found someone who write it all in. His voice may not be the same but it is a world I love

Well, I hope you're pleasantly surprised by Sanderson! His own work is quite good, too.

I sure hope I can be, at least I know that he will not go off on his own and take the story somewhere else

All the same, give him a shot! (And try Mistborn while waiting for the next books, you won't be disappointed!)
