Anthony Horowitz is an English writer and screenwriter, He has written lots of young adult novels, and his most well-known series are the 'Alex Rider Adventures' and the 'Gatekeepers' series.
'Alex Rider' has eight novel currently released, and three more on the way. The series starts with the book 'Stormbreaker';
"They told him his uncle died in an accident. He wasn't wearing his seatbelt, they said.
