We can all agree that both belong to the Paranormal and Urban Fantasy genres, but they also are quite different considering one is about fangs, and the other about fey. In your opinion for which ever reasons, which do you think favor more or think is better? Meredith or Anita? Who has more substance? Who's more Kick-a**? Could Meredith beat Anita?

I have read all of the Anita series and absolutely love her. She is the definition of KICK A**
I haven't read Meredith Gentry but my sister Valora78 has and can't keep her mouth shut about it!!!
From what she says I still think Anita Blake is top gun.....

O Anita does kick major A** however the Meredith Gentry series is a whole diffrent twist, just like in the Anita series there are misterious powers and gifts, but in this series with every new book comes new powers to meredith and her men. Shes a unsillee sidhe royal in line for the throne if she can conseve a child befor her cusin the son of the queen of the royal court. So the race is on and live's in danger at every turn and corner. This is a great series...

I just realized, asking this question really says "Who is better, Fangs or Fey?" Both stories are bloody awesome, Hamilton is an amazing author. So can they even be competition between these two species? They're both epic! How do I choose!?

I think when it comes to physical survival Anita can kick some mayor butt. However when it come to the magical part of it i would say that Meredith wins, she has powers that she still hasn't discovered. And when it comes to the r-rated scenes I think there in tie with there creativeness, spice and all the sexy men. ;D

So can they even be competition between these two species? They're both epic! How do I choose!? Well whats your flavor, pure one on one major magic power fighting along side men? OR. A non stop physical fighting with a hint of supernatural gifts, and men all along the way? And not to mention each have there own specialties such as shape-shifters, vampires, flying demon horses, and nightflyers with tentacles attached to their stomach. I do agree that there both epic and both great series.
