I have just had a quick ramble on twitter about this and been told I have to come post it up so here I am.
I know Stephanie Meyer has partially written Midnight Sun, but as a complete and utter Twilight Devotee I was thinking of other ways she could possibly take things further.
I was thinking of New Moon but from Edward's point of view. I know he doesn't feature in the book all that much but in New Moon it's made out as though at first it was simple for him to just walk away and leave Bella. By writing from Edward's point of view, we could explore his feelings towards Jasper for trying to hurt Bella. Also his struggle with himself as he leaves Bella and how much he misses her/loves her. How he tries to occupy himself whilst he is away by trying to track Victoria and that despite leaving Bella the one thing he choose's to do is something that keeps him connected to Bella although from a distance. Then you have the feelings he is subjected to when he thinks Bella has died and so on....

I completely agree with you ikkle87. I would love to see a book were they would show Edward's point of view from when he left Bella. When he came back in New Moon I found it a little hard to accept and forgive his character for what he did to Bella. I only knew how much he loved her from before and what he felt for her, but once he left her, all that was replaced with all of Bella's suffering. So when he came back, I saw him as the big As*(@$(# vampire that left Bella. I was actually hopping that Bella would tell him to screw off and stay with Jacob. (Thar's how mad I was) Had there been a book on Edward's view on how he felt when he left her and how much he suffered I think It would have helped me accept him back in to Bella's life. Don't get me wrong... I still love me some Edward

That's a great idea. I was so pissed at Edward when he left that I carried the grudge until the end of the series. A book from his perspective might help me get over that anger.
