Here you can post your comments or book review for Rosemary and Rue by: Seanan McGuire Synopsis October "Toby" Daye, a changeling who is half human and half fae, has been an outsider from birth. After getting burned by both sides of her heritage, Toby has denied the Faerie world, retreating to a "normal" life. Unfortunately for her, the Faerie world has other ideas... The murder of Countess Evening Winterrose pulls Toby back into the fae world. Unable to resist Evening's dying curse, which binds her to investigate, Toby must resume her former position as knight errant and renew old alliances. As she steps back into fae society, dealing with a cast of characters not entirely good or evil, she realizes that more than her own life will be forfeited if she cannot find Evening's killer.

Every once in awhile I come apon a book that just grabs me and hooks me in. That was the case with Rosemary and Rue. Wondering around the book store, I saw the title and picked it up to take a gander. I read the back and think this should be good. I buy it, bring it home and put it on the to be read pile. I finished reading it today. I liked it so much I wanted to write a review. I am no pro but this is what I think....
Rosemary and Rue is a great blend of fantasy, mystery, folk lure and faerie tales. A true urban fantasy. October " Toby" Daye, a changling(half human half fae), a stunning woman with a can't back down attitude. Just trying to live her life until a major death in the fae world pulls Toby out of her mundane life, and back into a life that she wanted to forget. Calling apon people that she wished she did not have to. Doing everything to keep herself alive and get to the bottom of the murder. THis book will keep you turning the pages until the end and when you think you have it figured out, you get to guess again.
This book gets my highest rating. I look forward to the next two in the series.
