So I'm reading this book called Warriors and the editor (who happens to be George R. R. Martin) has mishmashed all sorts of different genres into the anthology. He, apparently, was only judging by the quality of writing in choosing the stories.
Now, to an extent this works for me. I like exploring other genres, but...in the end I sort of miss the feel of science fiction and fantasy.
What do you all think? How much does genre matter in your readings? What sort of genres do you love best? Hate most?

well, i'll read anything. I have read sci-fi, fantasy, historical fiction, nonfiction, poetry books, plays, you name it... Genre doesn't really matter to me when it comes down to it, tho...
HOwever, my favorite genres are fantasy (preferably with magical creatures like werewolves and vampires) and historical fiction... I think that i dislike nonfiction the most, unless the writer actually makes it interesting... ;D
