I always have parts of books jump out at me, 1 line maybe 2, or a paragraph. So this is where we can post some of those.
My first line is from LOOK FOR ME BY MOONLIGHT by Mary Downing Hahn
The moon slid behind a cloud darkening the scene. When it emerged, I had the oddest sendation that the snowman had moved closer to the inn, taking tiny steps like a child playing a game. -pg 71
with this line I had these images of a sinster snowman that if you turned your back on it, or if the clouds covered the moon for long enough it would come up to the window with pointy tooth grin and a huge butcher knife.
Any other thoughts on this line?

Im reading Gladiatrix by Russell Whitfield and this line stuck out: "If you take vengeance on this child for my actions, I will kill you." -Lysandra page 39. This stuck out cause I was thinking before she said that that they would just beat the girl after she leaves and then she says that. It was good.

One of my fave lines would have to come from Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs.
Charles says, "'Rabbits like sex.'" Anna says, "'I'll RABBIT you. I know where all your ticklish spots are.'"
that just made me laugh....
