I just read Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver and reviewed it at BLA.

I read the review at BLA today. I have this book but it's in my pile of books that need to be read. I am not in as much of a hurry to read it now as I was before...

Ivy, I am apparently in the minority in not liking the books, so there's a chance we'll completely disagree. Also, I think this could easily be made into a better movie than books, if they filled those plot holes.

Hi, I was doing one of my daily blog runs today and I came across the Mundie Moms Blog. They have a post with the new book cover for Linger the sequel to Shiver. Check out the article at mundiemoms.blogspot.com/2009/11/linger-cover-maggie-stiefvater.html (Might not want to read if you have not read Shiver) What do you guys think of the cover? I like it because you can link book 1 and 2 just from the covers alone.

Both covers are beautiful. I like the hidden, but not hidden wolves in both.
And who knows, perhaps #2 will have fewer plot holes than #1.

I liked it. It was original.
Though I'm not too sure about the start of their "love." I loved you ever since I saw you...as a wolf. Come on, honestly? Love for animals and love for a human being aren't the same kind of love. It's a little creepy, honestly.
But otherwise, I'm excited. There's upcoming tragedy, I just feel it.

For the book challenge I loved this book.I recommend it all the time. I love how Grace is the stronger character than Sam. And the interaction with the other characters. Her parents ticked me off a bit, they should be there more for Grace. I love the way this story is written, very unique. I read this in one sitting I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for linger.

I also enjoyed this book very much! After reading logically's review I was a little unsure about reading it but I really fell into it. To explain how an 11 year old got locked in the car....I think if my mind serves me correctly she was sleeping and thats why she didnt get up to unlock the door. I didn't like how her parents just ignored her. Like they were the children and she was the mom taking care of them and cooking. I agree with blinky how she is such a strong character. I loved it when she smacked Jack in the face to control himself...that was classic. It broke my heart when she lost him in the accident so I was so happy that he came out of the woods alive and a human. I can't wait for Linger ;D
