Finishing up book three 'City of Glass', love this series~! It gets better with every book. I love, love, love Magnus Bane's character! ;D
Here's a blurb from the first book: "When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Clary knows she should call the police, but it's hard to explain a murder when the body disappears into thin air and the murderers are invisible to everyone but Clary.
Equally startled by her ability to see them, the murderers explain themselves as Shadowhunters: a secret tribe of warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. Within twenty-four hours, Clary's mother disappears and Clary herself is almost killed by a grotesque demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know..."
Great series, and there will be a fourth book in the series released in 2011. Not to forget Cassandra Clare's new 'Infernal Devices Trilogy' starts in Sept. 2010~!

I agree with Neko-chan--ahem, Repunzel. Those books are some of the greatest. And if you go on the author's google groups page, you can see that she's very intelligent--not a surprise with her writing talent--and she can justify everything that happened in the books, or didn't happen. It's amazing, really. Recently, I've been experiencing what I like to call MIL--or, Mortal Instrument Lust. I want more. I want to read it for the first time again. And I want more Jace.

Cassandra Clare is coming out with Clockwork Angel on September 7, 2010. This is sort of a prequel series to the Mortal Instruments trilogy, set in Victorian England. On March 11, 2011, she is coming out with City of Fallen Angels, the sequel to MI, only it follows mostly Simon rather than mostly Clary.
I am way looking forward to these books. Is anyone else?

Oh! And the best place to get information on her upcoming books and whatnot is her blog at cassandraclare.livejournal.com/. She mostly posts on important developments rather than trivial things, and the cover art for Clockwork is up there now. ;D
