Actually, the character I like best in the series is Andrea. Been meaning to get around to the novella featuring her...!
Refresh me, which was Dali? (I swear I'll have to reread the series by the time the next book is out.)

Andrea is a very fun character, I am actually not sure what my numero uno character would be from the Kate series. I just ordered the Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance and Must Love Hellhounds because I saw Ilona Andrews was one of the authors featured. Is the Andrea short story in one of those? Dali is the white tiger shape shifter with memory loss issues. We met her in Magic Strikes, she was their Spell caster in the pits. I like her quirkiness.

Oh I hope the Mammoth Andrews story is good. I'm debating on whether I should get that one yet. The Andrea story is the Must Love Hellhounds novella.
OH YES. I remember. She was interesting! I don't know why I couldn't recall her name...!

Awesome, I can't wait to read the Andrea story. Raphael and Andrea make me laugh. Also, is that a RING on Kate's finger in the new cover?

Honestly, Andrea and Raphael interest me more than Curran. :X
I was kinda wondering if the ring was a mistake or on purpose myself! Would anyone like to place bets now?

Hmm. I don't know about any wagers. Ilona Andrews is being pretty sneaky about Kate and Curran. ^^ I should probably elaborate on my meaning of 'make me laugh', I mean that I enjoy reading about them and that their antics make me laugh. I like them just as much as Kate and Curran~!

Ehhhhh, I just don't like arrogant/perfect characters like Curran. And he can be downright condescending, which is a huge turn off to the character for me. :/

I can understand where you are coming from, I keep thinking (hoping?) we'll see more depth, but I'm uncertain of that happening. I cannot decide if it's either just the writing, or a mix of the inner harboring of hope not yet achieved and the writing style of that post that puts me a bit off about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to read the blog post, and I like Ilona Andrews, but it's not quite the idea I had of his internal dialogue either. I still like Curran and Kate together quite a lot, I just hold out hope of more. I'm also hoping that Ilona Andrews is stringing us along about the teaser for 'Magic Bleeds' in the back of 'On The Edge', otherwise he's a complete horses arse (can I say that here?). ...That and I'd like to read more of Jim and Dali too. ;D

I do find that the Kate series gets better as it goes along, though. Also, am I the only one in the world who didn't warm up to Curran? you really sure you didn't warm up for Curran? I even imagine sometimes my husband possess his qualities ;D.

Ha, Josef13, I'm suspecting the spoiler. But who knows, I could be wrong and he'll have some revelation that make him seem more human yet. I think Andrews does infinitely better with her side characters. They're all vastly more interesting than Curran. Well, those and Kate, because Kate is wonderful.
Ylef, definitely. Curran and I do not get along. At all. :/

I definitely will, though I imagine i know where the novella will head. I don't know why, but I've been a bit tired of urban fantasy lately and reading epic fantasy/sci-fi instead! I will get to Must Love Hellhounds, but I'm not sure when...
