This is author of the "Cassandra Palmer Series" and "Dorina Basarab Series" Both of these series look very interesting and thanks to hng (who suggested the author) they have been added to my never ending BTR list. Here is the link to the author's website www.karenchance.com/index.htmlAlso this author has short stories on the following books: "On The Prowl" "Wolfsbane And Mistletoe" "The Mammoth Book Of Vampire Romance #1" "Strange Brew"

Well, since I suggested the author I should probably say something. ;D I just don't know what to say!!! I absolutly love her books and can't wait for the next one to come out. I recomend them to just about everyone. I especially love Mircea. Once you read the books, let me know what you think of him. ;D

I like her short story in On The Prowl, but Touch the Dark was okay, but not enough for me to continue reading the series. It was just too cliche. Did they get better?

They did get better, Touch the Dark just got things started. If you liked her story in On the Prowl then I am pretty sure you would like the rest of her Cassie Palmer series, or even the Dorina Bassarab series. There is also a short story on her website that is free if you want to give her a try again before you go buy a book. www.karenchance.com/books_dayofthedead.htmlI hope the link works, let me know if not and I will try again.

I just started reading the Cassandra Palmer series. I thought Touch the Dark was ok it was a little hard to get into because I was so un familar with the terms and rules Chance uses. I did think it got better the futher into the book I got, so I decided to give Claimed by Shadow a chance and like it so far.

So I finished Claimed by Shadow it was so much better than Touch the Dark. Chance did a better job of explaining some of the terms and what was happening over all. I wasn't as confused in this book and I will deffinantly be reading the rest of the series. I like Mircea but there is something about Pritkin that I can't shake, and I can't leave out Tomas (I think I was blushing while reading that sceen in Faerie).

Karen Chance is good. I've been hunting all her books now. I hate giving reviews because I hate reading reviews, they change my view of point, spoilerish. But it's worth a try reading one of her books till you got hooked with it. *grin*

I really like her short story on the Prowl... I want to see more of "Claire", I'm hoping she will write a series about her!

Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer Series #1) Interesting, it took me twice getting this book from the library before i read it. i have to say I was surpirse to like it so much I didnt really like how it ended through, i'ld wish she would have told us what else had happen with everything. For some odd reason i liked Jack i guess i just found him an interesting character. After i finllay read this book and liked I got the other books to the series on order from the library.
