I know someone who lied about reading a book once. The person did not want to feel left out of the conversation. It was funny because the more we talked about the book the more lost this person seemed to be. No names.... You know who you are (lol)

I confess, I pulled of the "It's on my to be read pile" before. I do eventually get the book though, eventually.

Oh wow, that's embarrassing. Why would she do that anyway? I mean, really, why?

I use the "It's on my to-read pile" excuse more often than I like to admit, but it's more often "I never got around to reading it". It's true. There are just so many books. Though that's never really a bad thing. ;D

See, I don't lie about reading a book because just like Luvie said, you usually get caught that must've been a little embarassing.

I lied once about reading a book >.< *shame!* I said I read Kite Runner when I got about half way through before I had to put it down cause I kept crying and yelling and screaming at it DX It was good, I just couldn't continue it. -sigh- I'm a bad person.

When I worked at the bookstore, I fibbed now and again. Never got caught either.
"Have you read Twilight, miss? Is it any good?" " *has never read Twilight* Oh yeah, totally great. I really love Jacob best, blah blah..."

Now, the scary thing is how much I know about a series I haven't read, really.
