i have read the mercy thompson books and have fell in love. I can only find two on audio, I work in a factory and eight hours is really boring without a good book in my ears. does anyone know if the entire series will be put on audio? Right now i can only find moon called and bone crossed.

I really like Audible.com. They're reputable and Amazon often works through them. Plus they have audio DOWNLOAD, which makes the whole process quicker.

It just may be that they haven't recorded the 3rd and 4th yet. But her other series, which is set in the same world, may be a good 'read' in the meantime.

You can also use ITunes, for audio book. I got all the Mercy books from there. They also have the alpha and omega as well

Audiobooks vary in price at iTunes, but many are quite reasonable. All 4 Mercy books are $23.95 each. iTunes itself is free to download.
Plus, iTunes books are "smart" in that if you stop listening at a certain place, the audiobook "remembers" where to pick up again.

The funny thing is that I have had an ipod for years and now I also have an iphone... lol I need to look in to these things.

Hahaha, oh Ivy!
Myself, I prefer mp3s to downloading music from itunes, but the audiobooks are top notch.

Also! Some authors offer free audiobooks via podcast, such as: Julie Kenner (her urban fantasy Tainted is available) Iain Banks Scott Sigler

Audible has always saved where I left off automatically, even when I listen to my audiobooks on my computer. I've never had a problem with bookmarking. It's automatic. I like Audible better than Itunes for downloading audiobooks because it's usually a lot less expensive and has better quality of sound. When I signed up I started with the two free downloads and the 14 day trial. I kept my subscription for two downloads per month at $22.95. Even if I decided to end my subscription to the program with the first month (or pay nothing by ending in the first 14 days, and still got 2 free audiobooks! And you can cancel the subscription online, you don't even have to call) I would still get the two audiobooks for $22.95, plus the two free! That's like paying $5.74 per audiobook. Heck, that's less than a paperback! You can import directly to Itunes too! It's really very easy to use. You don't have to convert everything like with Itunes. www.audible.com/adbl/site/template/t1/promotionalLanding.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&fo=COMA0210WS021609

However, the Audiobooks I have on CD are not "smart" and don't bookmark, which is why I mention it.

Yeah, CDs of audiobooks never bookmark at all when you place them on an MP3 player. I can completely agree on that being very frustrating. Those only keep my place in the book if I never change the device to something else. :-\
...Nevermind when they have a new track on the CD every 0:55 seconds, and there is 99 tracks per disc because of it. At that point I never can remember where I was. >_<
