Karen Marie Moning is a TERRIFIC author... now I kind of wish I had a kindle. You don't need a kindle to download the free e-book. You can download it to your computer and read it from there.

Here is a link for another free book www.thunderandblood.com/content/Contact/ I don't know how long this book is going to be free. I am hearing good things about it. I already got mine... ;D Thunder and Blood by: Stacey Voss"When Sarah Ingram and her sister Christine left Thunder Bay on a chilly November afternoon, they thought that they were going on a weekend getaway, leaving their problems behind. What they didn't realize was that they would end up in a world that was, in many ways, very different from their own, but at the same time eerily familiar. Separated almost at once, the two women found themselves struggling to come to terms with the reality of their situation. How did this world become so different from the one they knew? What secrets were their new 'friends' hiding from them? Was it possible that there could be more to the vampire stories from their own world than simple myth?"

I was already compiling the links & info at 3 AM this morning (couldn't sleep) then I saw this post and I guess great minds think alike.

I don't know if you guys are familiar with Project Gutenburg, but it's a great resouce for online books. Unfortunately, it's mostly classics or really old, strange books. If you want to read everything written by Shakespeare or Jane Austen for free though, head over to their website: www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page

Unfortunately some of the books listed are no longer free. I will work on a new list this month.
